FAQ

Your Guitar – But Better…

Have any questions? I’ve got answers!
(get in touch if your question isn’t answered below)

1. What types of guitars do you work on?

I work on both electric and acoustic guitars and electric basses. Whether you have a Stratocaster that needs a setup or an acoustic with sharp fret ends, I’ve got you covered. Each guitar is treated with the same level of care and attention, ensuring it plays and sounds its best.

2. How do I book a guitar service?

Booking a service is easy! You can contact me directly via email at [email protected] or call/text me at 07396 962436. We’ll arrange a convenient time for you to drop off your guitar, and I’ll keep you updated throughout the process.

3. How long does a typical guitar setup take?

The time required depends on the specific service your guitar needs. A standard setup usually takes a few days, but more complex services like fret levelling or complete re-fretting may take a bit longer.

I’ll provide you with an estimated time when you book your service.

4. Do you offer any warranties or guarantees on your work?

Yes, I stand by the quality of my work. If you experience any issues after your guitar has been serviced, please get in touch, and I’ll do my best to resolve the problem promptly – I’m also fully insured 🙂

5. What payment methods do you accept?

Payment is due upon collection of your guitar. I accept cash, bank transfers, and most major credit/debit cards.

6. Where are you located?

I’m based in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, and serve the surrounding areas including Burgess Hill, Cuckfield, and Lindfield. Once you’ve booked your service, I’ll provide you with the drop-off address.

7. Can I discuss my specific needs before booking?

Absolutely! I encourage you to contact me with any questions or specific requirements you have. Every guitar and guitarist is unique, and I’m here to ensure your instrument gets the care it deserves.

8. Do I really need a professional guitar set up?

That’s a big question to answer, so I’ve written a blog post about this. Check out my post why you need a professional guitar set up to get all the answers you need 🙂
